When travelling and using an unlocked phone and local sim the phone can sometimes change to the local language. This guide will help you change the phone back to your native language. Even though it is targeted for English speakers this guide can work for all languages.

How to Change the Language to English on Android
Step 1: Find the settings logo (a cog)
Step 2: In the settings menu find the “A” icon and select it.
Step 3: Choose the first option. The menu will then show language options. Scroll down until you find the language you would like to use.
Done! So easy.

How to Change the Language to English on iOS
Step 1: Find the settings icon (cog)
Step 2: In the settings menu choose the “general settings” option (cog again)
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and count 5 options up (six up on the newest models). Choose that option.
Step 4: Choose the first option. If you do not see this screen go back and choose the next option up.
Step 5: Choose the language you would like to use
Step 6: Once you have picked your language a new option will appear in the top right-hand corner. This is the “done” option. Select it.
Step 7: Another two buttons will appear asking you to confirm your change. Pick the top option. Once you choose this the phone will reboot into the chosen language.
